Directory of European Regions
Directory of European Regions

Produced by the FEDRE in partnership with the Chamber of Regions of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe (decision adopted in Strasbourg on 4 July 2003), the Directory of European Regions provided geographical, demographic and economic data on more than 750 European regions, including Russia and Turkey.

This database was accessible in 6 languages (French, English, German, Italian, Serbo-Croatian and Russian) and was for several years a unique documentation tool, whereas Wikipedia had just been created and Google Map did not yet exist!

A few years ago, FEDRE decided to stop the update of data, which is therefore outdated.
