Greater Geneva is inviting applications from farmers and their professional organizations located within the Franco-Vaud-Geneva metropolitan area. The purpose of this award is to recognize projects or initiatives that contribute to the ecological transition and mitigate the effects of climate change. Participants have until February 16 to submit their projects.
The region’s highly diversified agricultural sector faces several challenges—such as land issues, recognition of the profession, and vulnerability to climate change—that must be addressed to ensure its preservation. By soliciting project proposals, the goal of this competition is to highlight best practices while also fostering dialogue to identify potential improvements and priority areas for development across the metropolitan area. This call for proposals is part of the “Greater Geneva in Transition” initiative, which aims to engage local stakeholders in addressing the challenges of adapting practices and infrastructure in response to environmental changes.
