Following the model (and terminology) currently used in management, SUERA’s strategy is structured around three thematic objectives (1. Equitable access to employment, building on the region’s strong competitiveness; 2. Sustainable internal and external accessibility for all; 3. A more inclusive environmental framework for all and renewable energy solutions for the future) and one cross-cutting objective: A robust macro-regional governance model for the region to improve cooperation and coordination of actions.
The three thematic objectives are divided into action groups (AGs) according to the following structure:
- Equitable access to employment, building on the region’s strong competitiveness
- GA1: Create a true ecosystem of innovation and research;
- GA2: Enhance the economic potential of strategic sectors;
- GA3: Better align education and training with the labor market in strategic sectors.
- Sustainable internal and external accessibility for all
- GA4: promoting intermodality and interoperability in passenger and freight transport;
- GA5: Ensure digital connectivity among people and facilitate access to public services.
- A more inclusive environmental framework for all and energy solutions renewables for the future
- GA6: Preserve and enhance natural resources, including water, as well as cultural resources;
- GA7: Develop ecological connectivity throughout the SUERA region;
- GA8: Improve risk management and better address climate change, in particular by preventing large-scale natural hazards;
- GA9: Make the region a model for energy efficiency and renewable energy.
