François Saint-Ouen

Dr François Saint-Ouen has taught in several European Universities. He is a specialist of the European integration viewed from a bottom-up perspective stressing the importance of the local and regional dimension. Familiar with the transition countries, he is particularly active in the Balkans through the NALAS network of local authorities.

For him, local and regional dimension is essential for reaching the objective of sustainable development in Europe.

He has published many books. The last one, in 2011, is a history of the European integration since the collapsing of the Berlin wall entitled L'Avenir fédéraliste de l'Europe (Bruylant, Brussels).
